Robert’s childhood dream of being a Gondolier was realized in 2003 when work on his authentic Venetian Gondola began in Venice, Italy.
Since March 2004 he has been sharing his love of the Gondola with all his guests.
The Gondola’s name is Bella Mae, in honor of Robert’s Mother.

This was an amazing experience! Every time I come to New Orleans I find new things to do ! This was by far the best experience I had. It was very scenic and relaxing and he even played Happy birthday to me which was so sweet. If I ever come back with a partner I would definitely do it because it could’ve been so romantic..

We truly enjoyed our gondola ride. The gondolier was pleasant and interesting. We were very fortunate with the weather as well as the total lack of others using the waterway. I would certainly recommend to anyone. One suggestion, it can get warm out there with the sun even on a cool day, just be prepared.

Robert not only is a great gondolier, he’s also a wonderful conversationalist and we learned so much about New Orleans and gondolas from him. I knew my kids would love this experience but what I wasn’t prepared for was how extremely RELAXING it was. I felt blissed out for hours afterwards. Excellent activity to weave into your NOLA visit and an opportunity to get out to city park!

I recently took a romantic ride with my wife for her 40th Birthday while visiting New Orleans. Robert was a great communicator from the time I started planning this trip to the day of our tour. He is one of the friendliest, professional, kindest spirits one could ever meet. This was one of the highlights of the trip for my wife and she still is talking about how beautiful it was.
